Why all 18 Carnival Ships are in the Bahamas

Why all 18 Carnival Ships are in the Bahamas

Today morning all Carnival Cruise Ships are in the Bahamas, why all the Carnival Ships meet together? What they are planning? Is they are repatriating crew members to back home or they are planning to resume on service. All 18 Carnival Ships are in the Bahamas because of some reason.

Tonight have seen all the Carnival Cruise Ships in the Bahamas together, It looks like some kind of reunion of Carnival Ships. Everyone is surprised to see all ships together.

The Carnival Cruise Ships are planning to repatriate all nation crew members like Asian crew, European Crew, Caribbean Crew as well as American Crew members. They are planning to repatriate all the crew members.

Almost more than 10000 crew members are on board with Carnival Cruise Ships so they plan to repatriate non-essential crew members as many as they can.

Most of the Crew members are from Asia like the Philippines, India, Indonesia, etc. Than Caribbean, and European. All the Crew members want to go home but they are missing their second home where they live more that is Ships life. They are saying and they have believe to themselves that they will come back soon.

Is Company Giving any Compensation

See onboard all the crew members are working like 6 to 8 hrs per day to keep clean the Ships and keep everything as per standard. All the crew members work as a team with maintaining social distancing as well.

The best thing about Carnival Cruise ships is they are paying the salary to all the crew members on board just need to work for a few hours only in a day. The crew members are really very glad to work with Carnival Cruise, most of them are saying Carnival is the best.

Carnival Plan to repatriate their crew to back home, They said if needed will send all the 18 ships to a different country but initially we are thinking to use only 9 of 18 ships.

When They will back to Service

As of now most of the Cruise Company are suspended until June 30, 2020, Carnival too because of a global pandemic. They are expecting to resume on service by July 1, 2020 but I am not sure they will resume by July 1, 2020.

See the situation of coronavirus is worst all around the world and day by day it’s going to be worst. So it’s my personal opinion about the cruise industries is it may or may not be resumed in July. I personally think it may be extended until 2020 as per the current situation around us.

So stay home stay safe,,,,,,,thank you.

Princess, Seabourn & H. America Plan to Repatriate Crew

Today morning six ships close to each other exchanging a large number of crew members to repatriate them. The Princess, Seabourn & Holand America plan to repatriate crew members to Europe, Africa, Asia, and Canada. One of the Princess Cruise Ship will head this journey rest five will stay in the same position.

Princess, Seabourn & H. America Plan to Repatriate Crew

Due to air travel restriction, Princess Cruise Line along with Holand America and Seabourn have actioned a repatriation plan to sail all crewmembers home to Europe, Africa, Asia, and Canada. The safety officers of Sky Princess appreciate all the crew members who continue working hard to take care of everyone who remains on board to get them safely home.

Raffaele G. Ansante, Sky Princess Safety Officer said ” We did something incredible, Something no one ever could think of, Something you have never been trained for, but we did!

I personally thing the management of Princess, Seabourn and Holand America took a good decision to repatriate all the crew members of Europe, Africa, Asia, and Canada because until now no one knows about when they will sail again for service.

CDC Announced No Sail Order

The CDC( Center for Disease Control and Prevention) already announced the modification of suspension for No Sail Order for All the Cruise Ships. Earlier most of the Cruise company announced a suspension for one month only until April 11, 2020, and were expecting to resume on service April 12, 2020 but due to global pandemic they modified it.

On April 9, 2020, the CDC announced No sail Order for all the Cruise Ships in the fleet until further noticed then all the Cruise Ships modified their suspension and they extend for one more month until May 10, 2020.

But recently they modified again on their suspension order and now they extend all the service until June 30, 2020, and expecting to resume on service on July 1, 2020. I believe we are not sure that they will be back on service on July 1, 2020 because of COVID-19 global pandemic.

So I believe this decision taken by Princess, Seabourn, and Holand America is quite good to repatriate all the crew members because I think we need to wait until the solution of coronavirus. It is not easy to resume on service with this global pandemic so stay home, stay safe.

Working as a Couple

If you are a partner and you are working on a cruise ship then most of the cruise line will not allow you to work on the same ship due to company policies but Norwegian Cruise Line has a very nice policy for the couple. If you are a legal couple and want to work together then Norwegian will allow you to work on the same ship but you will have to stay in their own room. Apart from that, you can do whatever do you want to do in your personal life with due respect to company policies.

Job Opportunity for Crew Members on board

Many cruise companies are giving priorities to crew members and providing lots of opportunities onboard like, the Promotion of newly join crew members from time to time, etc. Everyone wants to grow in terms of health and wealth so if you will get promoted then your salary will increase by default which helps you to increase your wealth.

Carnival Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean Cruise line give promotion to their crew members but it’s very hard to get promoted in their 1st or 2nd contract. Most of the crew reveal that we get a promotion here but most probably 3rd or 4th contract which is very frustrating sometimes.

But the Norwegian Cruise Line follow the seniority procedure like 1st join the company,1st will get promoted if you deserve and your work performance is good. Most probably they promoted in their 2nd contract if all the criteria match with policy.

Most of you think that how to get promoted in my 1st contract but I will be very transparent with this policy. If you have any questions like this in your mind then please remove it because I know its never gonna be happen.

In your 1st contract company will teach you all the aspects of the company like policies, SOP and safety procedure, etc., and then the 2nd contract they will give you a chance for the next level. They can buy beer or wine from the crew bar from a designated area and drink in the bar as well in the cabin. Conclusion: As per my point of view most of the Cruise companies are good to work like Carnival Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Princess Cruise, etc but if I have to choose the best Cruise Line to work then I will Choose Norwegian Cruise Line.

Why I will choose Norwegian Cruise Line? Because Norwegian pays best to their employee compare to others, they provide both side travel expenses even it is my 1st contract. The management is also very good with the crew members and guests.

They have most of the crew members from Asia and the Caribbean but onboard you will find the best culture. They celebrate for everyone like the Philippines, Indonesia, Indian, Chinese, Caribbean, etc. A very friendly nature of crew members, staff, and management.
